At Automotive Testing Expo China 2025, Optomet showcased innovative vibration analysis solutions for the automotive industry.

SMART 3D Scanning for Complex Automotive Structures

The SMART 3D Scanning Vibrometer simultaneously measures vibrations in all three spatial directions (x, y, z) and provides complete vector data. This enables detailed NVH testing and modal analysis and reveals complex motion patterns that remain hidden in conventional one-dimensional measurements.

In the live demonstration, a brake disc was analyzed using the SMART 3D Scanning setup with three synchronized vibrometers analyzes . The system captured the dynamic behavior of the disc under excitation, revealing resonance modes and vibration patterns in full detail. These data provide valuable insights for optimizing braking performance and reducing NVH issues such as brake squeal.
